Rapenburg 46-54, Amsterdam

Net als het tegenoverliggende pand nr 49, dat enkele jaren eerder werd opgeleverd, voegt het gebouw zich naadloos in de gevelwand. De grote glasvlakken zijn diep weggestopt, waardoor het gebouw bij benadering vanuit de straat geheel van baksteen oogt. De woningen maken maximaal gebruik van de spectaculaire ligging van het project.

Just like the building across the street at no 49, that was finished a couple of years prior to this project, the building fits the treet like a glove. The large panes of glass are placed deep in the facade, which makes the building feel like a solid brick building, when approached from either side of this very narrow street. The appartments in this building all have spectacular views across a unknown canal in the heart of the city.
